PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for transfer, to reduce a load on software, and to facilitate the modification of a message, by selectively displaying messages characteristic to a system. CONSTITUTION:A CRT display device 120 with a keyboard is provided with an ROM-B200 held in readiness for use by previously storing various messages. A CPU100 transfers a message output instruction characteristic to a message to be displayed to a CRT120 with a keyboard thrugh a DMA bus 130. The CTL201 in this CRT120 receives the instruction through a DMA interface 208. According to the indication contents of the instruction, the ROM-B200 is brought under read control. Message information and its output attribute read out of the ROM-B200 are sent to a CRT control part 204, and the message indicated by the instruction is displayed on the CRT screen of a CRT205. |
