<p>PURPOSE:To prevent malfunction due to noise, by regarding a servo signal detected at first from a magnetic tape as a tentative signal, and taking a position as the beginning end of the tape, after the tape is further run and the servo signal is again detected. CONSTITUTION:A signal S obtained by reading out a servo track of a tape 2 with a head 12 and amplifying 13 is inputted to an AND circuit 16 via a register 14. On the other hand, the servo signal S is inputted to a register 22 via a servo detection circuit 15 and ANDed 16 with the output of the registers 14 and 22. With the output of the AND circuit 16, a control section 17 controls the rotation of a capstan motor 21 via a tape drive circuit 19 and a D/A converter 20. The tape 2 keeps running until the 1st servo signal is detected and the tape 2 is stopped when the signal is detected, but actually the motor keeps rotation for the moment of inertia. Thus, the servo signal is stored in the registers and it is checked at the two points of the tape, allowing to perform sure thread operation.</p> |
