An interior apparatus for flash welding of pipes end to end and comprising an extended support element 3, which carries an axially movable jaw arrangement 6 with electrode jaws 35 for clamping of a pipe being welded, an axially immovable jaw arrangement 5 with electrode jaws 26 for clamping of the other pipe, and a toroidal welding transformer. The axially immovable jaw arrangement 5 is mounted on the extended support element 3 in such a way that a ring-shaped free space is produced in between, in which two coaxial contact tubes 36 and 37 are arranged, which are electrically insulated from each other and connect the welding transformer 4 to the electrode jaws 26 and 35, thereby producing a welding circuit during operation of the welding machine. <IMAGE> |
