PURPOSE:To obtain a method and a device for the correction and conversion of a video signal to obtain video signals of blue, green, and red for a color monitor from signals of yellow Y, magenta M, cyan C, and black K, by obtaining an image on the color monitor extremely similar to an image of printed matter even if the extent of removal of base color is relatively large, and also facilitates preliminary adjustment. CONSTITUTION:Input signals (Y), (M), (C), and (K) are inverted signals which express the amounts of colors (Y), (M), (C), and (K) respectively. Those signals (Y), (M), (C), and (K) are supplied to corresponding secondary color detecting circuits 11, 12, and 13, ink x secondary color detecting circuits 14, 15, and 16, a tertiary color detecting circuit 17, ink x secondary color detecting circuits 18, 19, and 20, and a quadratic color detecting circuit 21. Those detecting circuirs 11-21 each consist of a maximum value detecting circuit and an inverting circuit. Namely, the highest-potential signal among plural input signals on the left-hand side is detected and inverted to be outputted to the right-hand side output terminal. This obtained signal of superposed colors is led to following superposition correcting circuits 31-40 to eliminate double, and triple repeated correction. Inverted signals (D), (E), (F), (H), (I), (J), (S), (T), (U), (V), and (Z) of superposed colors after the repetitive correction, and original input signals (Y), (M), (C), (K), and -(K) are supplied to correcting and converting circuits 51-53, and coloring signals of a color monitor are converted to obtain three primary color signals (B), (G), and (G) of a color TV system. |
