PURPOSE:To provide a polyester compsn. which gives moldings having good surface gloss even at a low mold temperature, by blending a nucleating agent and a specified amide ester compd. with polyethylene terephthalate. CONSTITUTION:0.05-10pts.wt. nucleating agent (B) such as mica, talc or a polyamide having an amido unit of formulaIor II (wherein R', R'' are each a 2-10C aliph. hydrocarbon group, a 6-15C hydrocarbon group contg. an arom. or aliph ring; R''' is a 1-7C hydrocarbon group) and 0.5-10pts.wt. amide ester compd. (C) of formula III (wherein R1, R3 are each a 6-15 C alicyclic or arom. hydrocarbon group; R2 is a 1-6C hydrocarbon group) are blended with 100 pts.wt. polyethylene terephthalate (A) to obtain the desired polyester compsn. Component C facilitates molecular motion of component A to promote orientation and hence crystallization. |
