<p>Mould is charged with liquid mixture contng. polyfunctional prepolymers, at least one of which is polyfunctional polydiene with lateral vinyl gps. on alternating C atoms of extended main C chain, polyfunctional organic chain extender, which can react with functional gps. of polydiene, and peroxide free-radical initiator, which effects cyclisation and cross-linking of lateral vinyl gps. Mould is rotated and heated to form elastomeric moulding, then latter is removed from mould and cured to form hard, rigid product. Since elastomer is formed rapidly at relatively low temp., product has uniform thickness. Form of elastomer permits more rapid cure. Mould can be kept at constant temp. throughout process, so that fuel costs and production time are reduced.</p> |
