PURPOSE:To obtain a connector which easily and effectively prevents a shift in axis when end surfaces of optical fibes are connected together by abutting, and also secures the high reliability of the connector connection. CONSTITUTION:A holder 8 is incorporated in the housing composed of plugs A and B, and optical fiber insertion parts 2 and 3 are stored in the holder 8. The optical fiber insertion parts 2 and 3 are formed by cutting one blank material in a plane X2 perpendicular to the insertion holes. Thus, planes as the position setting parts 2c and 3c of said parts 2 and 3 are only brought into close contact with a common plane as the position regulating part of the holder 8 to obtain accurate relativity. |
