<p>PURPOSE:To contrive to retain characteristics as the constitutional material for a musical instrument, by subjecting the surface of a woody base plate to primer coating by using a heat softenable high molecular material to prevent the increase of coefficient of woody loss due to the penetration of a primer coating paint into a cellular tissue of wood. CONSTITUTION:On the surface of a woody base plate 10, a heat softenable high molecular material 11 such as a polyamide resin solid at a atmospheric temp. is coated while softened to about 1,000 poise under heating, for example, by a heated iron H to apply substrate coating and, after filling treatment, the surface of the substrate coating is subjected to smoothness finish by sanding and a top coat 12 such as lacquer is subsequently coated to carry out surface painting treatment. That is, because the high molecular material heated and softened during substrate painting is instantaneously cooled rapidly after adhesion to lose the fluidity thereof, opened pores such as a vessel, a tracheid or the pitted vessel of cell wall can be filled without penetrating said high molecular material into a woody cellular tissue therethrough and, because a solvent is not used in a substrate paint, sink or cratering is not generated on a painting surface.</p> |
