PURPOSE:To simplify a copying controller, by providing a readable mark in an optical scanning region on a original platen and in front of the forward end of an original, and controlling toner density and timing of transfer paper feed. CONSTITUTION:A mark 20 is provided on one end of an original platen 3 and on the forward end of an optical scanning region and in front of the forward end of an original 4. It is first projected on a photoreceptor in a copying process, an electrostatic latent image is formed, developed with a developing device 6, and the mark image 21 is formed. This image 21 is read with an optical sensor consisting of a light emitting diode 22 and a photodiode 23 at the position prior to transfer, processed in a microcomputer CPU 26 according to the density of the mark image, and instruction signals of toner image control and feed of a transfer paper 13 are produced. |
