PURPOSE:To improve the rate of operation in winding work and improve its safety, by forming a scrap winder device to vertical construction, winding a scrap to a drum and removing the scrap in the method of its empty weight from the drum. CONSTITUTION:When winding work of a scrap is started, a piston rod 25 in a scrap winder is positioned to a lower limit, and each link 19, 20 is erected, while the diameter of a winding drum, formed by a group of bars 21, is spread, further the contour of a group of arms 39 is spread. The spread contoured arms are used as a side plate of the drum. Under this condition, an end of the scrap is rolled in a slit 31, and a main shaft 18 is rotated, then the scrap can be wound. After the winding work is finished, the contour of said arms is contracted, and the scrap can be dropped into a bucket 37. |
