PURPOSE:To form the outer shell of a grindstone used for woodwork so that the outer shell exhibits as if it had a cushion to a work to be ground, by providing a resilient member between the outer shell and a core shaft which form a grindstone so that the outer shell is deformed when it abuts against the work to be ground, for absorbing shocks. CONSTITUTION:A grindstone used for working wood materials, is composed of a core shaft 1, a resilient member 2 and an outer shell 3 which is the part for scouring the materials and is made of a metal such as, for example, brass, having its outer surface attached with a diamond abrasive for forming a diamond grinding stone. In order to attach the diamond abrasive to the outer surface of the shell 3, the abrasive is directly embeded therein or is bonded thereto after the outer surface of the shell 3 is plated. The resilient member 2 deforms to absorb external force which is exerted to the outer shell 2, thereby pressing force to the outer shell 3 or the material of the grindstone is distributed. |
