PURPOSE:To simplify extension between a master and a slave devices by interposing a repeater which uses a half-duplex digital signal transmission line between said devices, and then receiving a signal including its arrival direction from one device, and sending the device after regeneration and amplification. CONSTITUTION:Input terminals of receivers 1 and 3, and drivers 2 and 4 are connected to half-duplex digital signal transmission lines l1 and l2, and the other-side terminals of the transmission lines l1 and l2 are connected to a master and a slave device respectively. A repeater REP is arranged between the receivers 1 and 3, and drivers 2 and 4, and this repeater REP consists of an OR gate 5, a timing pulse generating circuit 6 with an incorporated clock, a direction storage circuit 7, a signal storage circuit 8, and a signal regenerating circuit 9. At the prescribed timing of each period of an input signal, levels H and L are written in the circuit 8, and the arrival direction is stored in the circuit 7; and an output with the width corresponding to the received signal is sent out in the opposite direction to the reception direction after being amplified, thus facilitating extension between the devices. |
