The coffee machine has a motor (18)-driven centrifugal filter (22) which receives the boiling water by means of a conveying device (24), for example a truncated hollow cone, which rotates concomitantly with and is arranged on the said filter (22), from a heated water bowl (8) arranged below the said device (24). Care should be taken in this machine to ensure that the centrifugal filter (22) is well mounted on the one hand, and that no lubricating oil enters the boiling water, on the other. The water bowl (8) is therefore shaped like a ring cake with a central tubular extension (14) which projects upwards from the floor and supports in its upper end section a bearing (60) for a motor shaft (16) driving the centrifugal filter (22), the upper end of the bearing (60) being situated somewhat below the upper end of the tubular extension (14). Any oil which emerges remains above the bearing (60) and slowly seeps back into the latter when operation has been completed. <IMAGE>
