PURPOSE:To prevent the position where a spike is attached from undergoing cracking and to prevent the spike from coming off, by fitting an embedding piece, in which a spike is embedded integrally, in an attaching hole in a tread thereby the spike is firmly mounted without being strained. CONSTITUTION:An unvulcanized substance or uncrosslinked high molecular substance is cast in a recess in a mold for molding the embedding piece 4, with the spike inserted and held therein, and is vulcanized or crosslinked by heating or other means so that the embedding piece 4 in which the spike 3 is integrally embedded is formed. The embedding piece 4 is inserted in the attaching hole 6 in the tread 5, and after the completion of the vulcanization of the tread 5, it is bonded firmly in the attaching hole using an adhesive. Alternatively, when the tread 5 is in the unvulcanized state or partly vulcanized state, the embedding piece 4 can be inserted in the attaching hole 6, and the whole body can be vulcanized for integration. |
