<p>PURPOSE:To enable DC transmission, to increase the number of channels by eliminating crosstalk, and to realize high-speed and wide-band transmission, by coupling a rotary member with a fixed member by utilizing the scattering operation of light. CONSTITUTION:A fixed member 21 is placed closely under a discoid and dishlike rotating head 20. The internal surface 20a of the rotary head 20 and the internal surface 21a of the fixed member 21 are finished in specular surfaces. A laser diode LD is driven by a signal from the rotary head to emit light, which is scattered by the specular surfaces to be photodetected by a photodiode PD. Therefore, the playback signal of the rotary head is led out. For the recording of VTR, the LD and PD are arranged reversely.</p> |
