发明名称 MANUFACTURE OF SUPERCONDUCTIVE MAGNET FORMED OF NB-SN ALLOY
摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce the distorsion of an electromagnetic force when energized by a method wherein insulating layers are formed using a silica solution which is hardened simultaneously with or prior to the generation of Nb3Sn. CONSTITUTION:Glass fibers are coated round a composite line comprising a core line formed of a Sn-Co alloy and Nb, and a silica solution is applied for each layer when winding the composite line round a bobbin 1. These winding work of the composite line and coating work of the silica solution between the layers are repeated to form a coil. Then, thus formed coil is processed under heating, so that the silica solution is hardened and insulating layers 3 are formed. This heating process is carried out under 600 deg.C-1,000 deg.C for 50hr. Since the hardening temperature of the silica solution is lower than the generating temperature of Nb3Sn, the hardening of the silica solution and the generation of Nb3Sn can be effected at the same time through the heating process made at such generating temperature of Nb3Sn.
