PURPOSE:To form an image suitable especially for a lith film by laying an intermediate layer having higher optical density and contg. a specified high molecular compound lacking in self-cross-linkability and a crosslinking agent and an outer layer haing lower optical density and contg. a specified self-cross-linkable high molecular compound on a transparent or translucent support. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive layer having >=3 optical density when a blue filter is used is laid on a transparent or translucent support. The layer contains a pigment or a dye, an alkali-soluble high molecular compound lacking in self- cross-linkability and contg. free COOH such as styrene-maleic acid monoester copolymer, and a cross-linking agent such as tetraethylene glycol diacrylate. On the outside of the layer a photosensitive layer having lower optical density is laid. The layer has low pigment or dye content and contains an alkali-soluble high molecular compound contg. self-cross-linkable unsatd. groups and free COOH such as methacrylate-hydroxyethyl methaacrylate-itaconoyloxyethyl methacrylate copolymer. The resulting photoreceptor gives an image with high sensitivity, resolution and density suitable especially for a lith film. |
