<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for repairing the trace of the blow port at joint surfaces after molding and to improve the productivity of molding by blowing molding sand through said blow port to mold molds then inseting a pressing member into the blow port to flatten the sand in said port and hardening the molds. CONSTITUTION:Top, bottom parts 8, 6 are clamped by means of a cylinder 14, and a blow head 24 is advanced by the operation of a cylinder 36 to fit the tip of the nozzle into the blow port 22 of the parts 6, 8. Air is introduced through an air supply hose 39 into the head 24 which blows molding sand through the port 26 into cavities 20; thereafter the head is spaced from the parts 6, 8. A gushing head 46 is moved downward by a cylinder 40 and as the head 24 advances, the head 46 is brought into abutment on the port 22. The pressing head of the heads 46 is fitted into the port 22 of the parts 6, 8 by pressurized air to flatten the sand of the trace for the blow port. A hardening gas is blown through a supply hose 48 then through the head 46 and the port 22 into the cavities 20, whereby the molds are hardened.</p> |
