PURPOSE:To make it possible to know a time in the state wherein the carrier's eyes must be kept on any other things, by detecting only sounds larger than ambient sounds and by informing the time by a voice. CONSTITUTION:When a user claps hands to know a time, a signal inputted from a microphone 1 enters a one-shot multivibrator circuit 5 and is held therein for a prescribed time. A microprocessor 6 confirms the number of times of clapping made in a prescribed time interval and givens an instruction to a time-informing voice unit 7 according to the confirmed number of times. The unit 7 raises a voice informing a time alone when the clapping is made once, a voice informing the day and the month in addition to the time when the clapping is made twice, and a voice informing the year in addition to the above when the clapping is made three times. An amplifier 2 has an automatic gain adjusting circuit 3 incorporated for amplifying only sounds about two or three times larger than ambient sounds. |
