A plug coupling having a protective-earth contact clip has an integral inner part which is constructed from a plug plate and a carrier plate which is attached at an angle thereto. All the metal contact parts are mounted on said inner part, so that wiring is made possible without having to handle a large number of individual parts. The coupling housing and the coupling sleeve which projects beyond the plug plate are formed integrally from a resilient, elastic synthetic material and have recesses which are constructed to be complementary to latching projections which are constructed on the inner part, so that, in order to assemble the coupling, the outer part is merely pushed onto the inner part and is latched there. The latching makes it impossible to pull the outer part off the inner part without destruction and conforms with the VDE test instruction since the projecting coupling, after assembly, forms an "entity" which cannot be split. <IMAGE>
