PURPOSE:To avoid occurrence of engine stop when vehicle speed is abruptly decelerated lower than a certain value, by inhibiting lock-up of a torque converter. CONSTITUTION:An abnormal cycle detecting circuit 10 is constituted from a timer 11, a cycle counter 12, a cycle memory 13, an adder 14 and a comparator 15. When a vehicle speed is abruptly decelerated lower than a certain value, the output S'e of said circuit 10 reaches H level and is supplied to the input of a set terminal S of an abnormality memory circuit 7. And the output of the memory circuit 7 is maintained at L level, and L level signal is generated from AND gate 5 irrespective of the level of lock-up signal to inhibit lock-up of a torque converter. |
