PURPOSE:To produce cross beams having high strength by simple welding from top surfaces with good working efficiency in the stage of welding and assembling the cross beams by means of square pipes, etc., by using a plate erected with pins and joining plates in welding said beams. CONSTITUTION:In the stage of assembling and producing cross beams used for frame works of various kinds of structures by using beam structural members such as square pipes, I-beams and the like, a joining plate 2 is placed in the area encircled by pins 3 on a plate 4 projected with many pins 3 on a tentative base. Further, the square pipes 1 or the like as beam structural members are placed and the pipes 1 and the plate 2 are welded by flat welding from the top surface side. An another joining plate 2 is superposed on the area thereon encircled by the pins 3, and is welded to the pipes 1, whereby the cross beams are assembled. Finally the beams are turned over and both plates 2 and the pipes 1 are welded again, whereby the cross beams are produced. The cross beams having high strength are assembled easily without requiring difficult welding from the bottom side. |
