PURPOSE:To perform bending of a frame automatically and simply, by feeding a work at a fixed pitch, supporting it at two points, calculating right angle displacement of the work in the direction of length and performing bending work at a part between supporting points. CONSTITUTION:A frame 1 is fed by feeding rollers 2, 3 at a fixed pitch, clamped by clamping mechanisms 4, 5, 6 and bent by a center cylinder 7. At this time, displacement of the frame 1 with respect to its initial state is detected by three measuring devices 8, 9, 10, and compared with data given by shop drawing. A center cylinder 7 is driven to give displacement of necessary amount of bending and bending work is performed. By performing bending work successively determining necessary amount of bending at each stop position corresponding to feeding of a fixed pitch, bending work of the frame 1 can be performed simply and automatically. |
