For devices and systems where, in particular, alternating voltages having correspondingly low tolerances are needed and a sinusoidal or other curve shape, particularly a square wave, is optionally of advantage. The solution is achieved by means of a generally known multi-core-type magnetic regulator consisting of a basic unit with series reactor and parallel reactor. The function is generally known. An essential feature in this regulator is the possibility of achieving the desired curve shape by adding filters or capacitors. As is shown in the attached drawing, this switching-over is simply effected by connecting a constructional unit which contains the corresponding filters or the desired capacitor. <IMAGE>
