The invention relates to a method and a device for the automatic introduction into an injection die-casting die of cylindrical rod-like objects to be embedded, in which the rod-like objects are placed individually into respective die cavities. It is envisaged that the rod-shaped object to be introduced should be inserted individually between the associated die cavity and the associated ejector, in coaxial arrangement with respect to the already embedded rod-shaped object situated in the die cavity and with respect to the ejector, and that the ejector should then be made to execute a feed motion along a path which coincides with the axes of the two rod-like objects. In the course of this feed motion, the finished die-cast workpiece is ejected by means of the rod-like object to be inserted into the die cavity and the latter is introduced into the die cavity. <IMAGE>
