METHOD AND DEVICE FOR JOINING TURBINE WHEEL AND TURBINE SHAFT

PURPOSE:To obtain joining of small initial unbalance by bringing a turbine wheel positioned and fixed with reference to the center boss of the turbine wheel into contact with the tip of a turbine shaft by pressure. CONSTITUTION:A center hole 29 is formed on the tip face of a turbine wheel 1 on the basis of the back face and outer peripheral face of the center boss 11. The back of the center boss 11 is brought into contact with a supporting plate 36 and the turbine wheel 1 is held by the supporting plate 36. At the same time, the turbine wheel 1 is coaxially positioned in relation to the turbine shaft 2 by pushing the turbine wheel 1 toward the supporting plate 36 through the center hole 29 by means of a center pin 26 coaxially adjusted to the turbine shaft 2. Under this condition, the turbine wheel 1 and turbine shaft 2 are joined by bringing the turbine shaft 2 into contact with pressure welding face 10 by pressure while rotating the turbine shaft 2 by a chuck 21.
