PURPOSE:To obtain an accurate value, by a method wherein a voltage applied to a pulse forming network is varied several times in the range where the ratio of impedances between a flashing discharge lamp and the pulse forming network exceeds the specified value. CONSTITUTION:A pulse forming network 2 comprises 8 pulse forming circuits comprising a coil and a capacitor, respectively, in a ladder form, having a flashing discharge lamp 3 connected to one end, and a power supply 4 connected to the other end. A voltage control mechanism 5 is provided between the power supply 4 and the pulse forming network 2 for controlling the voltage which is applied to the pulse forming network 2. Then, the voltage is fluctuated in the range where the ratio of impedances between the flushing discharge lamp 3 and the pulse forming network 2 exceeds the value 1.4 and the light having the luminous intensity corresponding to the voltage is irradiated to a solar battery. The optical response characteristic of the solar battery is measured by repeating the above operation several times. |
