PURPOSE:To smoothly discharge cake surrounding a screen bar by using a device in which a rotary chute in contact with the upstream side of the screen bar and a freely rocking rake guide arm are provided in such a way as to enable the cake on the screen bar to be discharged by the movements of the rake and chute. CONSTITUTION:Screen cake 4 in flowing water in a waterway is set aside toward the side A of a screen bar 1. A rake frame 6 is dragged by a rope 8 under the guidance of an arm 7 and raised, and thereby the tip of the rake 5 scapes up the screen cake 4 set aside by the screen bar 1, whereupon a chute 11 tilted to the place G as shown by broken line. Then, the arm 7 is moved in rocking manner from the place C to D, the tip of the rake 5 is set back toward the downstream direction, and the screen cake 4 on the rake 5 is wiped away by the screen bar 1. The screen cake 4 adhred to the screen bar 1 is removed down by a rocking wiping bar 13. The screen cake 4 waped down from above is directed to place away from the screen bar 1 by the chute 11. |
