PURPOSE:To improve the operativity and make it possible that an unskilled person uses the device, by constituting a key input part with a keyboard part and a key mat book which defines data input keys and sending information indicating a key on a page of the book from this input part to a controlling part. CONSTITUTION:A data generating device is provided with a data input part 1, a printer part 2, and a floppy disc device 3, and they are connected to a controlling part 4, and a MODEM5 is connected to the controlling part 4. This input part 1 consists of a keyboard part 11 and a key mat book 10 which defines data input keys. A corresponding address is generated in an address generating means of the controlling part 4 by identification information of the book 10 and information of the keyboard part 11 and is transmitted to an external device through the MODEM5. Corresponding code data from the external device is received, and a corresponding character or word to code data is read out from the device 3 and is applied to the printer 2, thus improving the operativity. |
