[Also in Division H5] A reflector suitable for use with a tubular infra-red lamp 7 comprises a body part 1, preferably made of extruded aluminium, and a flexible reflective strip 2 which can be resiliently retained behind ribs 3, 4 at the mouth of the part 1, at least one longitudinal groove 9 being formed in the part 1 to allow for expansion of the reflective strip. Cooling air may be forced through the groove 9 and directed over the surface of the reflective strip by lugs 13 bent out of the strip, the air being allowed to escape at the ends of the reflector or through the optical opening if the transparent protective plate 5 is removed. External grooves 15 are provided in the part 1 to receive connecting members (17, 19, not shown) for joining the part to adjacent parts in side-by-side or end-toend relationship.</p> |
