PURPOSE:To obtain a light-weight and small-sized compact pressurizing fixer where the roll pressurization is adjusted easily, by providing a pressurizing mechanism equipped with a pressurizing lever, a pressurizing member, and a compression coil spring. CONSTITUTION:The pressure of a compression coil spring 63 which acts in parallel with an upper roll 51, a middle roll 55, and a lower roll 58 approximately is converted in the vertical direction by a pressurizing lever 61 to generate a press-contacting force between adjacent rollers through a guide member 59. A recording paper which has a toner image to be fixed on the surface is allowed to pass between rollers 51 and 55 to fix the toner image. Thus, since the coil spring 63 is used as a pressure generating means, the spring constant is large, and the adjustment margin is increased; and since a prescribed pressure of rolls is set from the side face of the pressure fixer, assembling and adjusting works of the device are facilitated, and the difficulty of the pressure adjustment is improved. |
