A friction clutch is provided in a motor vehicle for power transmission and for interrupting the power transmission path between the engine and the gearbox and is furthermore intended to assist in reducing gearbox noises and vibrations in the drive train caused by irregularities in the torque output of the engine. To combat these irregularities, the driving disc of the friction clutch is designed in such a way that it can execute a limited twisting movement relative to its hub counter to the resistance of springs and vibration dampers. To cushion and damp the vibration of the driving disc relative to its hub, the invention proposes to provide two or more cylinders within which there is a piston provided with two piston rods and acting on two rings made of an elastically deformable material, for example rubber, arranged on both sides of it.
