The object of the invention is a process and a device for manufacturing a load-bearing trellis scaffolding, in which a multiplicity of intermediate transverse ribs having a series of incisions disposed on their circumference is disposed on a longitudinal axis in such a manner that the notches of adjacent transverse ribs are aligned with each other. An endpiece is disposed at each end of the longitudinal axis and a pin is disposed between the endpiece and the adjacent transverse rib at each end of the longitudinal axis, said pins being shaped such that a smooth outline or envelope results from the endpiece to the adjacent transverse rib. A resin-impregnated continuous fibre is then wound around the endpieces and the transverse ribs, the resin then cures and a rigid, load-bearing trellis scaffold is formed. <IMAGE>
