PURPOSE:A device for pulling up a crystal more uniformly, by constructing a device for pulling up a ribbonlike crystal equipped with a device for adjusting automatically the center of crystal having function to maintain the right track. CONSTITUTION:The ribbonlike crystal 4 is sandwiched and supported by the device 14 through two pairs of the conveyor rollers 13a, 13a, 13b and 13b. The power is transmitted from the drive motor 15 through the drive pulley 16a, the drive belt 34a, the connecting belt 35a, and the roller 13a to the crystal 4. The deflections of the belts 34a and 34b, the belts 35a and 35b are absorbed by the tension not shown in the Fig., and the pulling track 103 is aligned with the die having a slit for forming the melt in a crucible into a ribbon shape by the X-Y-theta stage 36. The device 20 for adjusting automatically the center of crystal is set at the back of the device 14, and the device 14 is fixed to the sliding plate 34 in such a way that the reproducibility of the position is not lost. This device for pulling up crystal not only suppress the undulation and bending of crystal but also aligns easily the center of seed crystal with the interfacial boundary. The fluctuations in the thickness of crystal are automatically adjusted to the center of crystal, so the constant arrangement of operator is not required. |
