<p>PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of setting a rolling schedule by converting the caliber shape, etc., of rolls to coordinates, calculating sectional shape parameters and estimating rolling conditions from the information on the shape, and temp. etc., of a material to be rolled. CONSTITUTION:A schedule setting device for rolling stands is constituted of a section 11 for estimating the rolling conditions of respective stands, a section 12 for determining the optimum rolling schedule and a section 13 for setting and outputting data. A section 21 for forming the information on the roll shape determines the coordinates of the caliber shape by a shape function equation from the caliber shape, caliber pattern, etc. The sectional shape parameter is formed in a section 22 for forming the sectional shape parameter. The rolling conditions are estimated from such parameter and the respective sets of the information on the shape of the material to be rolled, the shape of caliber rolls and temp. and the rolling schedule is determined in accordance with the estimated value. Since the parameter accuracy is improved, the accuracy of setting the rolling schedule is enhanced.</p> |
