<p>PURPOSE:To improve the quality of a sheet material by providing sheet thickness and sheet tension detectors to the intermediate on the inlet side of an upper stream side stand and a down stream side stand and executing sheet thickness control which takes the change rate of the deformation resistance of the sheet material into consideration. CONSTITUTION:A load detector 3 is provided on the upper stream side rolling stand 1 and a 1st sheet thickness detector 4 and sheet tension detector 5 are disposed to the inlet side thereof. A 2nd sheet thickness detector 6 and sheet tension detector 7 are further provided to the intermediate of the stands 1, 2 and an arithmetic unit 8 for the change rate of the deformation resistance of the sheet material is installed. The arithmetic unit 8 calculates the change rate of the sheet deformation resistance in accordance with the measured values of the respective detectors 4-7 and the rolling load when the sheet material is fed into the upper stream side stand 1. The roll gap of the stand 2 is controlled in accordance with the result thereof. Since the influence of the change of the sheet deformation resistance on the sheet thickness is thereby controlled, the quality of the sheet material is upgraded.</p> |
