PURPOSE:To securely accomplish returning operation of the titled printer to the home position of a carriage by a simplified construction so as to release locking state of the carriage to which a returning force is furnished by a spring and a cam member with a specific means. CONSTITUTION:When a carriage 12 comes to the extreme left end, a cam plate 22 is rotated counterclockwise so that the locking of an arm 32 of the carriage 12 and a protrusion 26 of the cam plate 22 is released, then the carriage 12 is returned to the right end by the tensile force of a return spring 29. When the carriage 12 returns to the home position, the locking of a bend 53 and a protrusion 54 is released and the cam plate 22 returns to the original state. When the carriage 12 is returned on the way, rotation of a hammer 18 is counteracted by a protrusion 16e of a chassis 16a of a printing type drum, and arm 18b does not move but a protrusion 23 runs away and pushes the cam plate 22, thereafter like the above, the carriage 12 is returned to the home position. |
