PURPOSE:To provide a subject printer which can facilitate the formation of an opposing electrode using thick needleform electrodes, by constituting the printer such that, corresponding to output information, a voltage is selectively applied between a needleform electrode, acting as an opposing electrode and being mounted to each nozzle group, and each nozzle at each nozzle group. CONSTITUTION:Three nozzles 2a, 2b, and 2c, for flying each primary color of Y. M. C, are aligned in a conveying direction 4 of a recording paper 3 to form a nozzle group 5. Nozzle groups 5, 5', and 5'' are arranged perpendicularly to the direction of the arrow mark 4, and the number of needleform electrodes 10, 10', and 10'', being equal to that of the nozzle groups, is positioned facing and opposite to the nozzle groups 5, 5', and 5'', respectivery to form an opposing electrode 14. A voltage, which causes flying of ink, is selectively applied between the needleform electrode and each nozzle at each nozzle group and corresponding to output information. |
