<p>The apparatus comprises a light source (13) adapted to illuminate the object (1) with a light pulse, an optical sensor (14) for spot scanning the illuminated object (1) and supplying at the output thereof, for each scanned spot, a signal related to the brilliance level of the object reflected signal, a counter stage (17) for storing the number of the scanned spots having different brilliance levels and providing a respective brilliance histogram, and a comparator (21) for supplying a quality indicating signal from the comparison of the histogram with preset reference values.</p> |
