PURPOSE:To simplify the configuration of the titled circuit without using the 3rd voltage source by temporally separating a restriking voltage adjusting circuit from a voltage source capacitor after generating the initial part of the restriking voltage, and again increasing the restriking voltage by using charge remaining in the same voltage source capacitor. CONSTITUTION:A control gap 18 is discharged and voltage source current iv flows from capacitors 8a, 8b into a breaker 4 to be tested through a reactor 10 at the time ta just before the final current zero point t0 of current source current ic passing through the breaker 4. After the generation of restriking voltage, the current waveform passing through the control gap 18 is shown by a dotted curve between tb-tc. A control gap 26 is discharged at the time close to tc and a capacitor 23 is charged at an appropriate time-constant through an proper resistor 27. If the capacity of a capacitor 25 is selected sufficiently smaller than that of the capacitor 22 and a resistor 24 is sufficiently larger than a resistor 21, the terminal voltage of the breaker 4 can be adjusted to the restriking voltage suitable for the display of four parameters as shown in TRV. |
