PURPOSE:To reduce the load of a central processing unit (CPU) by transmitting and receiving synchronous signals between terminal testers which are dispersed terminals to execute tests under the condition that these testers are synchronized each other and charging only the start of the execution of tests and totalization of tested data to the CPU. CONSTITUTION:Cars 1 are sat up so as to be stopped on pit lines for inspection and repairment and connected to terminal testers 3 arranged in accordance with respective apparatus mounted on these cars. A test executing device 4 and a microcomputer 5 are incorporated in each terminal tester 3 to execute tests in accordance with each test program. When the same kind of terminal testers are included in a train of cars, these testers check also the measured results of other testers in each test item and advance the program to the next item in accordance with the checked result, OK or NG. Even if synchronous signals from other testers are not received, their arrival is waited at the discriminating point, so that the synchronization in each item can be maintained. Consequently the load to a CPU is remarkably reduced and an unexpensive and simple system can be attained.
