PURPOSE:To obtain a battery life displaying device with wide visual field by charging a space between transparent electrodes with a displaying material. CONSTITUTION:An opposed transparent electrode 3 and a displaying transparent electrode 5 are formed on the insides of opposing glass plates 2, 3 and a space between the plates 2, 7 is charged with a displaying material 4. An organic matter consisting of a compound similar to styril for example is used as the displaying material 4. When a battery 12 reaches its life, a voltage detecting circuit 13 detects the reduction of the life and applies the voltage of the battery 12 to a display element 14. Consequently the displaying material 4 between the transparent electrodes 3, 5 is colored and a battery pattern display element 8 is displayed, informing the life of the battery 12. |
