PURPOSE:To obtain three-dimensional information relating to the distance, height and width of objects by arraying the 1st photodetective members like rows and the 2nd photodetective members like a matric and oscillating the optical axes within a prescribed angle. CONSTITUTION:An object detecting device 10 is constituted by the 1st photodetective members arrayed like rows, the 1st image formation member 14 projecting the image of an object on the standard optical axis 20, the 2nd photodetective members 13 arrayed like a matrix with prescribed distances in the horizontal direction, and the 2nd image formation member 15. If points 21-25 where the band-like comparing light axes 31-35 of comparing light flux 30 are intersected with the band-like standard optical axis 20 are previously set up and the quantity of light received by the 1st photodetective members 12 is compared with that of the members 13, it is informed that the object is located on the position corresponding to a space between elements of which difference is minimum. Consequently, three-dimensional information relating to the distance, height and width of the object can be obtained by oscillating the direction of the band-like standard optical axis 20 within an angle theta and synchronously controlling the optical axis 33 of the comparing light flux 30 so that the angle of an intersection is fixed. |
