FOLDED ANTENNA WITH RESISTOR

PURPOSE:To decrease the change in input impedance against the change in frequencies and climatic conditions and to attain a broad band, by connecting a resistor in series with a joint between the primary and secondary lines made of conductors. CONSTITUTION:The upper part of the primary line 11 is connected to the upper part of the secondary line 12 via an adjusting box 15. The box 15 is incorporated with a resistor R and connectable with another required resistor R. The low end of the primary line 11 is fixed and supported with the ground 18 via an insulator 16 and a stay 17 to form a feeding point F to a transmitter and receiver. A horizontal part 19 is provided at the top to lower the height of the antenna.
