PURPOSE:To achieve a required rate of dephosphorization with a small amt. of a flux and to facilitate control of components by treating molten iron which flows steadily continuously then subjecting the same to the 2nd stage of a treatment while receiving the same in a panlike vessel thereby dephosphorizing the same. CONSTITUTION:Molten iron prior to a treatment which is supplied from one end of the continuous treating device of the sectionIof a trough type device of the 1st stage flows roughly steadily and during this time the molten iron receives the supply of a basic flux such as soda ash from a flux supplying device 6 and an oxidative gas such as oxygen through top blowing lances 5, thus the reaction of dephosphorization progresses continuously. Formed slag 4 is separated from the molten iron 3 by a gate 7 and is removed through a slag discharge hole 8. The iron 3 is received in the panlike vessel 3 in the section II of the device of the 2nd stage. After the molten iron 3 attains a constant height in the vessel 2, the blowing of the flux from an immersion lance is started. The blowing is finished upon arriving of the iron 3 at a prescribed level, and the receiving of the molten iron from the sectionIis changed over to an another vessel. |
