The holding down bolt is installed in a cylindrical bored hole with anchorage through radial expansion. A flared undercut of the hole and a pivotable trailing end of a liner sleeve act with a conical nut to give increased bolt tension. The trailing end of the nut is flanged, the radial shoulder coming into contact with the sleeve end to form an axial stop. Anchorage is effected by pulling the nut into the sleeve so that the trailing wall zones expand onto the under-reamed section of the bore. |
