PURPOSE:To reduce the load applied on the surface of the roof of house by a method wherein a valve attached to a connecting pipe connecting a heat pipe type heat collector to a separate hot water storage tank arranged below the heat collector is made to open in response to a specific signal. CONSTITUTION:A heat absorbing section 12 of the heat pipe 11 is incroporated in a heat collecting section 10 of the heat pipe type heat collector 17 and a heat radiating section 14 and a first temperature detector 15 are provided in a small- sized water pooling section 13 on the upper part of the heat collecting section 10. Further, a valve 20 is interposed in the connecting pipe 19 connecting the lower hot water storage tank 18 arranged below the heat collector 17 and the water pooling section 13. Thus, when the temperature in the water pooling section 13 heated through the heat radiating section 14 reaches a predetermined value, the valve 20 is opened by the signal of the detector 15 so that hot water is supplied into the hot water storage tank and a ball tap 16 is opened to supply water to the water pooling section 13. As a consequence, no load is applied on the roof of the house by the hot water storage tank 18. |
