PURPOSE:To make the title medium have high stability to heat and light, excellent preservability, be less susceptible to deterioration on reproduction and capable of recording with high senstivity even by use of a long wavelength laser, by incorporating a specified compound into a recording layer of an optical information recording medium for use on an optical disk memory device. CONSTITUTION:A compound of the formula, wherein Z is an atomic group necessary for completing a substd. or unsubstd. carbon ring ketone, each of R1 and R2 is a substd. or unsubstd. alkyl or substd. or unsubstd. aryl, X is a metal complex anion, and m is 1 or 2, is incorporated in an organic coloring matter thin film recording layer constituting an optical information recording medium. The compound of the formula may be incorporated in other layer in addition to the recording layer, and the amount of the compound in the recording layer is preferably 2-60 wt.% based on the total solid component in the recording layer. The compound may be incorporated in an undercoat layer or a protective layer in an amount of 2-100 wt.% based on the total solid component in the layer. When the compound is incorporated in two or more layers, the amount thereof in each layer is set in the range mentioned above. |
