PURPOSE:To eliminate the failure in sepn. of transfer paper by providing a paper detector which detects the transfer paper between a synchronizing device and a conductive belt and a means of applying voltage upon the conductive belt in accordance with the signal from said detector. CONSTITUTION:A controller for sepn. of transfer paper of a copying machine is provided with a synchronizing device 7 and a paper detector 10 which detects transfer paper between the same and a conductive belt 9. When the detector 10 detects the preceding end of the transfer paper, the data of the time corresponding to the length of a conveying route for the transfer paper between the detector 10 and the point of the belt 9 where the transfer paper enters the belt is retreated into a data retreating memory, and a counter for the position of transfer paper starts counting of clocks. The count value of said counter is compared with the data of the data retreating memory and when both coincide, a voltage is applied to the belt 9. Thus, the deviation between the position of the transfer paper and the time for application of the voltage, that is, the failure in sepn. of the transfer paper is eliminated. |
