[Also in Division G1] In a multi-turn shaft revolution indicator with two dials 12, 18 rotatable relative to a base 10 to indicate up to one revolution and the number of full revolutions respectively, of which the first dial 12 is secured to the shaft (intercoupled by notches 26) and turns the second dial 18 by periodically turning a Geneva element 56 (and gear 46) operatively connected to dial 18 (through gear 50 engaging gear 46) the dial 12 has a flange surface 66 with a relieved section 69 and, radially inwards, a pin 68. In order to lock the dial 12 it is formed with a brake drum 74 which can be engaged by a pair of pivoted brake shoes 70 actuated by tabs 32 on an annular part 28 of a brake lever 20. The shaft may be turned manually and the indicator may be used in a multi-turn potentiometer. A rear dust cover 36 is provided. |
